SOMETHING TO BE EXCITED ABOUT!!!

So I know it has been FOREVER since I posted anything but I have been busy here are somethings that we have been doing since October.....

1. We have been working alot on Ross's Grandpas ranch! We have so much fun. We love being able to go out and help and do something we love to do. Trever even goes with us and he and I stay behind all the cows and we sing songs at the top of our lungs!!

2. I FINIDHES MY BACHELORS DEGREE!!!! I will be graduating with a 3.6 gpa which I wish was better but dang that ain't bad!!!

3. I have been working a lot on Christmas presents this year. I am almost done with G's presents and I will be finished making all of my others REALLY soon!! I am excited cause most of them I've worked really hard at.

4. We got our wood stove in. We laid rock and everything it turned out SO NICE!!! There is nothing like having heat from a wood stove!!!

5. I have been doing quit a few photoshoots lately. I always have fun with those. Even though I am not a "professional" according to some peoples standards, I think I do pretty good for not having the best camera or best editing software. Plus I just want EVERYONE to know I do it for me and the family's I do. I don't do it for money, I do it cause I enjoy it so much.

6. On February 5, 2010 (WOW that is weird to type) Ross and I will be enjoying George Strait!! YES that is right GEORGE STRAIT!!! Ross got us tickets, it is a once in a lifetime chance really because he is starting to not do as many performances. He is AMAZING!!!

7. I am also still watching Trever, we have a lot of fun!!! We have been working on colors, and sounds of the alphabet. We also are working his counting. He can count to 20 really good. He LOVES to count EVERYTHING!!! He always tells me that when he turns 5 he will go to school and show the kids how to be good. HAHA Also he has a nwe girlfriend that lives in the woods?? Ya I have NO idea.

Well I am sure there is so much more that I am forgetting, but I can't remember. There is always something "exciting" goin on in my life. So Merry Christmas all and Happy New Year if I don't get on here again soon!!

It's Tamale time!!!!

Its time to make some Tamales!! About twice a year my dad has a big tamale making party. Well this year it was just the two of us, which made us sad. Tashina is in the Navy, Triston is on his mission, and Trey well he was somewhere I think at work. Even though we were sad, we still made 17 dozen!! Thats right folks 17 dozen!! Normally it takes all day to spread the masa and put the meat in and role them and normally you only get 2 or 3 dozen that way. I want to introduce you to the TAMALE KING!!!

Tamale King

Yes, my dad bought it and boy does it make the entire process go by so fast. We started at 9:30 and we finished at 11:30. two hours right? YES!!!

The first step is to have these yummy delicious main ingredients!!

Then you mis everything up!!

Fill the middle container with the meat and the outer with the masa.

Put it all together and you get a TAMALE!!

They might not look pretty but dang do they taste good!!

Then you role them, this was my job, but my dad was the model for all the pics! Thanks dad!!

Now they are ready to steam!!

Now LETS EAT!!!!

It was a lot of fun making these with my dad. People tend to say that we make them too hot, but I beg to differ! My family loves spicey food, besides Ross he is the one that complains. But my motto is the hotter the BETTER!!!

Once upon a time.....

Once upon a time, I was given the opportunity to be a mommy to two little girls. I was their mommy for 1 1/2 months, in that time they became my little angels. Even though they were taken from me, I hope they will always know that they are my angels and that their mommy and daddy love them and always will.

Trever misses his "brothers" he asks for them daily.
Anastasia, daddy's little girl.

Anjolina, mommy's little girl.

Again, JoJo, mommy misses you!
They will always be cherished in our hearts. We thank you all for your thoughts and prayers, I guess Heavenl Father has a different plan. (We wish he would let us in on the secret!)

Mommy and Daddy...WHAT!!!!

No no no we aren't pregnant, we just skipped that process and had twins!!!! It all started in July when we got our tennager, we were worried about it, but it has all worked out ok so far. She loves us, and we love her but it sure has taken a lot to get use to it all. I have three calenders now to try to keep everything straight. A week later I had knee surgery and I am doing great!! I can't wait to be able to work out again but it is coming soon. I also lost my job amongst all that. Well my hours got cut and I told my boss it is not worth my time or money to drive to Lakeside only 2 days a week. So I began watching Trever man full time! He stays with us all week and I LOVE IT!!! He is so big and smart I have started teaching him phonics sounds and he loves to do "homework" with me.

Well to get to my title. We had to talk in church and I talked about how we can't have kids and we are foster parents. Well a girl that is in our ward called me two days later telling me that she knew of twin girls that needed to come live with us. It is possible adoption but we are still not sure. Well a week went by and we heard nothing. Tuesday Sept. 8 their grandma called and asked if we could go and pick them up. That night at 9 p.m. we picked out little twin girls up. We have had several health issues but they are all taken care of. The girls and their brothers are now be investigated for several different things, and are soon to be in the CPS system. we are SO happy that they are here and they LOVE LOVe LOVE Ross, their daddy. Well one loves him more then the other, which is ok I guess.
It has been quite the change but we are getting use to it fast, we are on a schedule now and hopefully all works out. Now we need help from you! Will you please pray that these girls will be safe and whatever is best for them will happen? Also, I want to do a special fast on fast Sunday so please remember us. Hopefully someday I will be able to post pictures but for now I can't!!

So be patient.

Serve with all your heart, might, mind, and strenght!

Today August 26, 2009 Triston Oliver Rogers entered into the MTC at 1:20p.m. He has been waiting for this day since he was a little boy. As a young boy he would always tell everyone that the was planning on going on a mission, he never let anyone or anthing come in his way to serve his mission for our Heavenly Father!!
Trever has always looked up to Triston, and now he does even more, he continues to tell us that he wants to go on a mission just like Triston!

It is tough to know that I won't see my baby brother for 2 years, but I know he is doing what he is meant to do! He is going to go to Billing Montana and blow them away with his aswesome spirit.

While we hung out Sunday night with friends and family. Trey and Trever decided to be silly with Pappa Terrils hats!

And since Triston couldn't use his cell phone any more due to him being set apart at 5:00 that night, Ross decided to use it for him.

I think he was a LITTLe excited to get going in the next morning!!!

My brothers and sister are all grown up, and it drives me crazy! But I am proud of them and I know that they will continue to grow and hopefully do what is right.

I look forward to reading Tristons letters and watching him grow in our gospel. He is going to accomplish so much for those in Montana and the little in Wyoming. I was able to talk to him before he went into the MTC and he was nervous, but excited. He has never been away from home, so he is worried about being home sick, but I know if he keeps the faith and prays to Heavenly Father he will be guided and blessed.
Triston,
Serve with all your heart, might, mind, and strength!! I love you and God be with you till we meet again....in 2 years!
